Why is it that with all the technology at there disposal we are still waiting for Amazon to produce a tablet PC for there customers. It would appear that the cost of manufacture as opposed to what people will be prepared to pay is the main issue.
At the moment the Apple ipad has the market all sawn up this is mainly due obviously to the quality but also the shopping experience at an Apple store is something that other tablet producers cannot compete with. Most rivals are sold by wireless carriers. This is where Kindle could have the edge as there customers are already happily buying electronics including the current kindle reader from Amazon. So presumably they will also be happy to buy there tablet online. Trust is a big thing when it comes to buying online after all you are parting with your money for something you haven’t even held.
There is already a huge amount of content out there from kindle that suits the tablet market, all we need is a amazon tablet release date, with the amount of content that Amazon have even if they don’t make a profit from the actual sale of a tablet there has to be plenty of profit to be made from the things they can sell later. They lead the way in online shopping and they are venturing into video streaming as well. With an Android App store opening soon they have everything going for them, the only thing missing is the tablet itself. It does seem that the only people that have any chance what so ever of competing with the Apple brand will be the kindle. Basically the only people not waiting for the kindle tablet with eager anticipation are the people at Apple. Personally I am still hoping to have one for Christmas.
