When you are working with different colors, looking for something that will give your house something that looks luxurious, sophisticated and regal doesn’t need to be difficult. Simply look through ancient history and you’ll find the two colors that have always represented royalty: purple and gold.
It is very easy to combine the two to make beautiful rooms. Yellow furniture over purple area rugs, or purple furniture over white area rugs and yellow wall paper make great combinations to dress your house up with.
Setting up your house to be the precise thing that you’ve always wanted to work with doesn’t need to be difficult either. All you need to do is get it working and get it working right and that doesn’t need to be difficult. Balancing the yellow with the purple may need to be something you look over on a computer for awhile, but you will be sure to find something that works out great. Something to keep in mind however: pulling off a regal look in a living room is not always the best option. It has a tendency to kill conversation in your living room. You’re much better off setting up the regal look in a room where the set of importance is obvious.
If you are putting the purple and gold combination in your living room, your eyes don’t know what is ‘the most important’, and trying to figure that out will kill conversation. If you are putting it in a room that the importance is obvious, such as a dining room, where the table is obviously the most important, or the bedroom, where the bed is obviously the most important, it won’t compete with the value and importance of the room. It becomes much, much easier to deal with and enjoy the beauty.
