How to care for your indoor bench? You should learn this from very first beginning before buying the bench from any furniture shops. It does not take you many times, possibly once in a week.

Here are some tips.

To ensure your bench last longer with you, make sure don’t exposing it to heat source like fireplace and direct sunlight. Softwood indoor wooden benches like pine bench is easy to get spoil after long hours exposing it under sunlight. As such make sure you keep this baby at cooling area. You should avoid for placing the bench too near to fireplace as the fire and ash will fad the bench. Thus it leaves ugly effect on bench cushion. It darkens the chair cushion and spoils its prints.

The next step to do is to clean your bench as and when required. You don’t need to wash them everyday as frequent cleaning will broke the bench too. Actually all you need to do is just wiping it with a damp cloth. You don’t even need to apply any detergent on it. For chair pad or cushion, apply some fabric fresheners on it. For wicker or bamboo benches, a brush is required to take out the dirt and dust from the bench legs and frames. You can wipe the bench with detergent, provided you are using the mild effect and with no Clorox agents. You are advised to clean your bench once in a month, not very frequent.

Compares to indoor benches, less care applied to outdoor benches like teak bench and maple bench. For example you might need to clean your oak dining bench once in a month whereas you not even clean your outdoor teak bench once in a year. This explains the fact why outdoor bench needs to be made in hardwood.
